The school is just one of many ventures bearing the name of Sir Alex Edward Reed, founder of recruitment giant Reed Executive Ltd, one of the UK's largest private businesses. ![]() READ MORE: Bailiffs threaten to take Nuneaton mum's car over £1,000 unpaid Clean Air Zone finesīrewery Row and Reed Business School, which still stands today, were both used as backdrops for the series, first broadcast back in October 1978. Several locations within Warwickshire's southernmost village were used by BBC camera crews. Little Compton, the smaller, but comparably historic cousin of Long Compton, was, however, prominent in the milestone incarnation. Thankfully (or unluckily, depending on your perspective) the daleks were not involved in the plot for the 100th serial of the hit sci-fi show, called The Stones of Blood. Ex-ter-min-nate! The one word that still haunts and excites Dr Who fans in equal measure. ![]()
